People from all sectors of society and many international friends also expressed their good wishes for Fudan University in different ways. The warm care and earnest expectations of the Central leadership are deeply ingrained in us and will guide our actions. The encouragement and commendations from all sectors of society will also become a valuable spiritual driving force for all Fudan people on the grand journey of the new century. In the new century, Fudan University will take the responsibility of revitalizing the nation through science and education, uphold the spirit of Fudan, keep pace with the times, innovate vigorously, and accelerate the construction of a world-class university, making due contributions to the well-rounded building of a moderately prosperous society and the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
