This book takes Dongting Lake as a case study, researching the supporting theories of agricultural industrialization, as well as the theoretical, technical, and methodological aspects of key issues such as influencing factors, the selection of leading industries and products, evaluation of development levels, and planning development strategies. It proposes the fundamental principles that agricultural industrialization in China's lake regions should follow, the main measures that need to be taken, and the important directions that must be grasped. It establishes an indicator system for evaluating the development level of agricultural industrialization and a comprehensive evaluation model for agricultural industrialization based on a method set, as well as a classification model for industries in Dongting Lake. On this basis, it proposes development strategies, models, and approaches for agricultural industrialization in Dongting Lake.
