Premature ejaculation, sweaty palms, hot palms and soles

Patient's question:

Premature ejaculation, sweaty palms, hot palms and soles of the feet, insomnia, night sweats, how to treat it?

Doctor's answer:

Hello, from the perspective of Traditional Chinese Medicine, night sweats may be caused by qi deficiency or yin deficiency. If the night sweats are due to qi deficiency, it is usually because of poor vasodilation function, and Bu Zhong Yi Qi Tang (Modified) can be used to regulate it. If the night sweats are caused by insufficient heart blood, leading to palpitations and poor sleep, it is recommended to nourish blood and calm the heart using Gui Pi Tang (Modified). If the night sweats are caused by a yin deficiency constitution, the body may exhibit dry heat symptoms, also leading to night sweats. In this case, Liu Wei Di Huang Wan (Modified) can be used to improve the condition. For night sweats caused by yin deficiency with excess fire, symptoms like five-palm heat and restlessness may occur, and it is advisable to nourish yin and reduce fire using Tang Guo Liu Huang Tang (Modified). However, it is still necessary for a TCM practitioner to make a differential diagnosis before taking medication to improve the condition.
