Features: The Ministry of Construction of the People's Republic of China organized relevant units to revise the 2004 edition of the "Compulsory Provisions for Engineering Construction Standards" (Building Part) (hereinafter referred to as "Compulsory Provisions"). The revised 2002 edition of the "Compulsory Provisions" has been approved and is now being issued, effective from January 1, 2003. The content of this "Compulsory Provisions" includes provisions directly related to the safety of people's lives and property, personal health, environmental protection, and the public interest in the current national and industry standards of engineering construction, while also considering requirements for improving economic and social benefits. All provisions listed in the "Compulsory Provisions" must be strictly implemented. This "Compulsory Provisions" serves as the basis for all parties involved in construction activities to implement compulsory engineering construction standards and for the government to supervise their implementation. The Ministry of Construction is responsible for the management and interpretation of this "Compulsory Provisions," and the Standard and Quota Research Institute of the Ministry of Construction organized China Building Industry Press to publish and distribute it. The main contents of this book include: Architectural Design; Building Fire Protection; Building Equipment; Surveying and Foundation; Structural Design; Seismic Design of Buildings; Structural Identification and Strengthening; Construction Quality; and Construction Safety.
