Features: This manual is compiled according to the requirements of the "JLPT Test Question Standards" (compiled by the Japan Foundation and the Japan Association for International Education, Kanso-sha, 1994) for Levels 1 and 2, as well as the past question trends. It includes over 10,000 entries. Among them, the starred words are basic vocabulary, totaling 1,039; the single-starred words are important vocabulary, totaling 4,613; and the unstarred words exceed 5,000. The starred words are for Level 2, while the starred and unstarred words combined constitute Level 1 vocabulary. This manual is based on the "Bilingual Example-Explained Pronunciation JLPT 1-2 Level Vocabulary Manual" (East China University of Technology Press, 2002) and is designed for JLPT 1-2 level test-takers who wish to memorize vocabulary intensively within a few months. Of course, it is also suitable for general intermediate and advanced Japanese learners. To help users correctly grasp the pitch accent of each word, this manual marks the pitch accent for every word. There are various methods for memorizing vocabulary, among which the most effective is repeated recitation. It is hoped that users will review the vocabulary at least twice before the exam. This will not only help achieve good results in the "Vocabulary and Grammar" section but also significantly improve scores in the "Listening" and "Reading and Grammar" sections.
