Features: China's new round of tax reforms has been launched, marked by the reform of the export tax rebates and exemptions mechanism starting from January 1, 2004. Its novelty and impact are truly worthy of global attention! Implementing tax rebates and exemptions on export goods is an internationally accepted practice in global trade, serving to avoid double taxation, promote fair competition, and benefit import and export trade. China's export tax rebates and exemptions refer to the refund or exemption of Value Added Tax (VAT) and Consumption Tax paid at various production and circulation stages within China for goods declared for export in international trade. With the advancement of economic globalization, international trade activities have become increasingly frequent, and the import and export of goods and services have become indispensable business operations for every enterprise, especially the export business. If a company wishes to expand its exports and reduce the export prices of its goods, it can enhance its competitiveness in the international market. While there are many methods to reduce export prices, only export tax rebates and exemptions comply with international practices. Therefore, the policies, regulations, and methods of export tax rebates and exemptions have become a must-learn subject for export enterprises. At the same time, with the development of the market economy, tax planning as one of the modern financial management tools has begun to be used by some enterprises in China and has achieved significant results. Like other economic activities, the tax rebate and exemption business of export enterprises should also undergo tax planning to achieve effective tax-saving goals, and familiarity with tax laws is a necessary step in tax planning. Due to social progress and economic development, reforms in the export tax rebate and exemption mechanism, the issuance of new laws such as the "Foreign Trade Law of the People's Republic of China" and the "Administrative Licensing Ordinance," the release of 127 ineffective or abolished regulatory documents by the State Administration of Taxation in 2006, and the centralized adjustment of export tax rebate rates for certain goods and the addition of prohibited items in processing trade in September of the same year have all led to significant changes in the current export tax rebate and exemption policies. To meet the needs of a broad readership for the current effective policies, we have comprehensively reviewed the export tax rebate and exemption regulations, removed outdated content, and systematized the effective provisions. Based on this, we have compiled the "Export Tax Rebate and Exemption Handbook" for everyone to reference and use. The content of this book mainly includes three parts: current effective regulations on export tax rebates and exemptions, accounting treatment methods, and current effective import and export regulations of customs. Therefore, this book is highly practical.
