What to do about incontinence~!

Patient's question:

Detailed medical condition and consultation purpose: Due to my high libido, I have a history of masturbation for over ten years. I am currently 22 years old and have also had frequent sexual activity with my girlfriend. However, in recent months, I have noticed that after urinating, there is always a small amount of urine leakage, especially when my lower body is compressed. It feels as if I am experiencing incontinence. Is this related to my frequent masturbation and sexual activity? Please provide a detailed explanation, thank you~!

Doctor's answer:

There are two types of treatments for stress urinary incontinence: conservative treatment and surgical treatment.
Conservative treatment includes one method of strengthening the muscle tone in the anal area through exercise. The patient can perform the action of tightening the anus, with each tightening lasting at least 3 seconds before relaxing. This should be done continuously for 15 to 30 minutes. If the patient can persist for 4 to 6 weeks and perform the exercise multiple times daily, some degree of improvement may be achieved.
Another method involves elderly patients who can take a small amount of estrogen orally or use vaginal medication to improve blood supply around the urethra and certain muscle tone, thereby preventing involuntary urination.
Finally, a device called a pessary can be used. This is inserted into the vagina to support and elevate the urethra, temporarily preventing involuntary leakage of urine.
