Doctor's answer:
Hello, treatment of orchitis:Thoroughly clean the tunica vaginalis and the purulent spermatic cord stump with a preservative disinfectant, completely removing the pus and dissolved fragments of the spermatic cord tissue. To prevent the accumulation of exudate in the entire tunica vaginalis, debridement and drainage can be used. During the acute phase of inflammation, a penicillin hydrochloride procaine solution can be used for closure at the neck of the scrotum. While local treatment is necessary, systemic therapy must also be considered, including antibiotic therapy, sulfonamide therapy, and sodium bicarbonate therapy, among others.
For cases that have transitioned to a chronic course or have developed a spermatic fistula, the spermatic fistula and the proliferated connective tissue can be excised together, and the wound should be treated as a purulent wound postoperatively.
