Patient's question:
I feel that my boyfriend is not very good in terms of sex life, and I suspect there might be some sexual dysfunction issues. I plan to buy some medication for him to treat it. I've heard of Viagra before, but I don't know how effective it is. I saw both Cialis and Viagra at the pharmacy. What kind of help do I need: Which is better, Cialis or Viagra?
Doctor's answer:
There are currently three types of Viagra available: Pfizer's Sildenafil, marketed as Viagra; Eli Lilly's Cialis; and Bayer's Levitra. All three are effective medications for treating ED. Each of these drugs has its own characteristics: Viagra was the first to be launched, with both doctors and patients having mature experience in its use, and its efficacy is well-established; Cialis has the longest duration of action; Levitra is similar to Viagra in its effects. However, these three drugs also have a certain improving effect on premature ejaculation, but they are not very strong. The effective medication for premature ejaculation is currently an antidepressant. In fact, no matter which type of Viagra is used, it is not as good as having an ideal wife—good women are equivalent to three Viagras. Because this is a prescription drug, it can only be purchased with a prescription issued after a doctor's examination. As a PDE-5 inhibitor, it provides significant help to ED patients. However, it does not mean it can be used casually in daily life. It is recommended to first visit a hospital for a check-up to determine your current condition before deciding whether to use medication.
