I have slightly excessive foreskin. What are some effective methods to treat balanitis?

Doctor's answer:

As for candidal balanitis, topical treatments such as nystatin ointment, clotrimazole, econazole, or miconazole cream can be used, or oral antifungal medications like itraconazole, fluconazole, miconazole, or ketoconazole may be prescribed. For trichomoniasis balanitis, metronidazole, tinidazole, or griseofulvin can be selected. Amoebic balanitis should be treated with emetine, metronidazole, or tinidazole. If the partner also suffers from candidal or trichomonal vaginitis, both must be treated simultaneously.
