Features: The Xibe language is one of the minority languages in China. The book is divided into five chapters, covering specific content such as: phonetic structure analysis, lexical feature analysis, grammatical and morphological analysis, and sentence structure, as well as a collection of modern Xibe spoken conversation materials and related vocabulary. To protect and develop the Xibe language and Xibe script, local governments, the Xibe ethnic research association, and relevant mass organizations have made tremendous efforts. As a result, the Xibe language and script have been used well until today. However, the use of the Xibe language and script faces unprecedented challenges and impacts. With the sharp decline in the number of speakers, the Xibe language has become an endangered language. The responsibility of protecting, rescuing, and continuing the Xibe language and script has fallen upon all Xibe ethnic people, as well as the Republic and all of humanity. Protecting it is a responsibility bestowed upon us by history. A Study on Modern Xibe Spoken Language was initiated and written under the driving force of such a sense of responsibility and urgency, and was successfully completed as planned as a youth project funded by the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
