Features: With the increasing prominence of universities in terms of their status and role, university culture has begun to enter public view. Universities have never been more highly watched and expected by society and the public. Faced with this new opportunity and challenge, and the intense competition among universities, how to innovate in educational philosophy, choose suitable development strategies, utilize all domestic and international resources, and accelerate self-improvement have become the primary concerns of every university. Against this backdrop, the unique role of university culture in the development of higher education has been discovered. Universities are special social organizations and institutions that should always maintain a critical and reflective attitude toward society, uphold the academic conscience of intellectuals, point out societal flaws, and not merely conform to social trends. Universities must lead society and the direction of human civilization, guiding future development. These two aspects form two poles that are both contradictory and unified. Universities survive and thrive in this dialectical movement of adapting to and serving society while critically reflecting on and leading society. This is a fundamental contradiction that runs through the development process of university culture. Grasping this contradiction means grasping the main thread, core, key, and primary issue of university culture construction and research.
