Features: The Collected Interpretations of the Analects (4 volumes) includes works from the pre-Qin to the Tang and Five Dynasties periods, with a focus on selecting those closely related to the study of philosophy and intellectual history. Some works not belonging to the "Zi" (Philosophers) category, such as Ban Gu's White Tiger Commentaries, are included due to their strong relevance to philosophical and intellectual history research. The New Collection of the Classics of the Philosophers also includes works from the pre-Qin to the Tang and Five Dynasties periods, with a focus on selecting those closely related to the study of philosophy and intellectual history. Some works not belonging to the "Zi" category, such as Ban Gu's White Tiger Commentaries, are included due to their strong relevance to philosophical and intellectual history research.
The entire collection is divided into two series. The first series includes works similar to those in the Old Collection of the Classics of the Philosophers, which are frequently read or consulted by general researchers. Each work selects the best available annotated edition to date. For a very small number of works without annotations, new annotations are provided. Some books include multiple annotated editions, each with its own strengths. To maintain consistency in style, except for a few exceptions, only annotated editions written in classical or simplified classical Chinese are included. The main text and annotations of all works are uniformly annotated with modern punctuation, and errors in printing or typesetting are corrected.
The second series collects other works outside the scope of the first series. Most of these works do not have existing editions. For those that require annotations, annotations should be added. The rest are selected for collation using high-quality versions.
