Liu Jingchen Collection

Author: Liu Jingchen
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2006-01-01
Features: The upper volume contains 71 articles arranged by genre, including monographs, prefaces and postfaces, biographical sketches, official documents, letters, and notices, each section ordered chronologically by writing date. The lower volume features poems and couplets, organized by year of composition, with those of unknown dates placed at the end. Thus, the "Zhenghui Paintings Quatrain" is divided into four parts and compiled in the corresponding years. Seventeen articles in the upper volume are joint works, with four of them being (funeral notices), (telegrams), and proposals led by the author, while the remaining thirteen are included as well. The reason is similar to that of the second volume of the "Huang Qun Collection" in this series, and further elaboration is unnecessary here. Jointly signed works are concentrated in official documents and notices, especially the latter, which are not merely advertisements but also reveal certain styles of the time. Considering the author's self-edited "Zhenghui Poems," which includes 17 chapters of 7 (commissioned works), all are faithfully reproduced in the lower volume. Similarly, the upper volume also includes works like the "Reconstruction of Mi Yuan's Tomb" by others. After extensive research, some articles lack original sources. The "Zhewan Daily" issue from September 29, 1947 (Special Issue for the Centennial Celebration of Sun Gong), which published speeches, had incomplete pages preserved in Wenzhou and Hangzhou. (), a copy from Dong Pu's Qianli was used. Many other works remain missing and must await future recovery. To address this, an "Index of Lost Works" is compiled as Appendix I to compensate and facilitate further research and assistance from relevant parties.
