Features: The establishment of a socialist market economy system is a profound revolution. This revolution not only requires (eliminating the old economic management system) but also fundamentally changes the form of public ownership, demanding the vigorous development of a diverse range of ownership economies. The establishment and development of a market economy necessitate the adjustment and reshaping of property rights structures and rights relationships in socialist society. The development of various forms of ownership will primarily depend on their ability to adapt to the requirements of market economy operation. Extra-economic coercive forces will gradually weaken, while the natural selection forces brought about by market competition will significantly strengthen. Under the conditions of a market economy, how to maintain and strengthen the socialist public economy, how to uphold healthy and sound competitive order among various forms of ownership, and how to ultimately form a relatively stable new socialist economic rights structure relationship are all issues of great practical and historical significance. Among these major issues, the primary and core problem is the integration of the socialist basic system with the market economy. All other issues are extensions of this problem. Successfully resolving this issue is not only the requirement for public ownership to adapt to market economy development but also the need to ensure the success of the socialist market economy. Since the Fourteenth National Congress determined to establish a socialist market economy system, our basic economic system, resource allocation methods, and income distribution relationships have undergone profound changes. However, the socialist market economy system has not yet been fully established. In the early 21st century, the goal of China's economic reform remains the establishment of a socialist market economy system, achieving the true integration of socialism with the market economy.
