Book Collector (Issue 11)

Author: Qilu Book House Editorial Department
Publisher:
Publishing Date: 2006-11-01
Features: The purpose of "Book Collector" is to connect all book-loving friends in the world, listen to their passionate pursuit of books and their deep love for them, record their hardships in searching for books, their devotion to reading, and the joy of collecting books, thereby showcasing the intellectual realm and life pursuits of book lovers. Under the premise of maintaining the familiar editorial purpose and basic column setup, "Book Collector" has made two main adjustments. First, it has changed the original format and design, striving to combine the elegance of ancient times with modern book characteristics. Second, it has expanded the textual content by one-third compared to the past. Although it still follows the rhythm of publishing two issues each spring and autumn, this expansion allows for more articles, responding to many requests from previous readers. After the redesign, it should give readers the feeling of meeting old friends again, while also clearly showing that it has undergone a new "makeover." Of course, whether it will be accepted and approved by both new and old readers, we remain somewhat uncertain. Therefore, we still hope to continue receiving your valuable feedback. Only with the continued cultivation, nurturing, and care from friends in all circles can this book collection garden we have jointly developed remain as fruitful as the autumn season.
Among the 28 articles in this issue, there are accounts of old versions that have survived through vicissitudes, as well as reflections on collecting old paperbacks, which help readers understand history, broaden their knowledge, and gain insights. Through the spiritual connection of book lovers, the activities of reading and collecting books are elevated to a new level.
