The way Chinese and Western people perceive the world or their attitudes are different. Recently, American scientists, through the observation and analysis of eye movements of Chinese and American college students (a study at the level of the visual nervous system), have found that when looking at images with promising and rich backgrounds, Americans focus on the foreground, while Chinese people observe the whole picture. — This external observation method may be related to their different ways of thinking. This essay is the author's book published by Beijing University Press, and there is a sense in the author's heart or mind of walking the path back home. Because from 1955 to 1961, the author studied at Peking University. Today, returning home through the way of publishing a book is a good, highly meaningful "leaving home in youth, returning in old age." It is also the line from the poem by Tang Dynasty poet Liu Changqing: "Old roads and green mountains remain, the rest of my life, I return with a white head."
