Part 1: The Origins and Definition of the Hakka Clan. This article was written for the Meixian Conference in 1997 and was selected by the conference organizers for inclusion in the book Where Do the Hakka Come From, serving as the opening piece.
Part 2: Hakka Ancestor Worship and Religion, with three articles. The first article describes the Guan surname in Aizi. The second article examines the Hakka worldview through funerals, with fieldwork conducted in Tangkeng Town, Fengshun County. The third article discusses the survival strategies of the Hakka.
Part 3: Hakka Deity Worship. This is part of the study on the driving forces of traditional Hakka society, conducted through fieldwork in a remote Hakka town in Shixing County, northern Guangdong.
