Does varicocele affect development?

Patient's question:

Medical Description:
1. Does varicocele affect penis development?
2. Does varicocele affect growth and development?
Actually, I don't have much, but I always scare myself, always feeling like I have it. My left testicle is slightly lower than my right one. I don't know if it's because I've done those breath-holding and blowing exercises, but I sometimes feel something like a vein when I touch, but then I can't feel it again. Recently, I often check if there are similar veins, so I feel a bit uncomfortable down there. Is it because I touch it frequently, or do I really have varicocele?
History of Treatment and Effects:
No treatment has been administered.

Doctor's answer:

Hello, the superficial skin of the penis naturally has blood vessels that run in a worm-like pattern, which is normal. If you touch it with your hand and feel some lumps, but there is no pain during erection, you don’t need to worry about it. You can rinse it with warm water.
Additionally, the spermatic cord refers to the two bundles of connective tissue that suspend the testicles, containing blood vessels, nerves, and vas deferens, among other tissues. Varicocele, which is associated with testicular heaviness, scrotal dampness, and decreased semen quality.
Varicocele occurs when the veins in the spermatic cord become dilated and tortuous due to impaired blood. In most cases, mild varicocele without symptoms does not require treatment. Moderate varicocele or those accompanied by neurasthenia can be managed by wearing an scrotal support or applying cold compresses. If these methods are ineffective, surgical ligation of the high spermatic vein may be considered. You still need to seek treatment as early as possible.
