Burning sensation when urinating, a little painful, what's going on?

Patient's question:

Hello, there is another question that I need your help with. In the past few days, I have had a recurrence of candidal vulvovaginitis. I used "Fujianjie" for cleaning, without diluting it with water, and rinsed the vagina with a vaginal twice a day. After a few days, the itching around the vaginal opening has subsided, but now there is a burning sensation and some pain. What could be the reason for this? Could it be caused by using too concentrated Fujianjie?

Doctor's answer:

Hello: It might be caused by vaginitis, and it's not closely related to Fuyanjie.
(1) Candidal vaginitis is a common and frequently occurring condition among women. Patients should not have any psychological burden and should not self-medicate. Instead, they should use medication under the guidance of a doctor, undergo regular follow-ups, complete the full course of treatment, and aim for a cure. It is crucial not to give up halfway.
(2) Identify the cause of the condition to reduce the likelihood of recurrence or reinfection. Use antibiotics reasonably.
(3) Maintain cleanliness and dryness of the external genitalia, and avoid scratching them as much as possible. When washing daily, use lukewarm water rather than hot water to prevent damaging the skin of the external genitalia. Change underwear daily, and wash your own underwear separately. Items such as towels, underwear, and basins can be disinfected by boiling. Avoid wearing synthetic underwear. Wash your hands before and after using the toilet.
(4) Avoid sexual activity during the illness, especially during the acute phase. If sexual relations occur, use condoms to prevent transmission to others. Both partners should receive treatment simultaneously.
(5) Adjust your diet structure and consume more foods rich in vitamins. During the illness, try to eat less beef, lamb, and spicy foods to avoid worsening the itching symptoms.
