Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the Education System of China" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in the Construction of Spiritual Civilization in China." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "putting people first and establishing the school on virtue," forming the distinctive educational feature of "comprehensive development + special talents" and exploring a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, refinement, novelty, and innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is an inevitable result of its long-term implementation of quality education and only one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements. When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What is its ability to turn sand into a tower? What is its skill in transforming ordinary into extraordinary? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the of the college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully understand the intentions of test-setters and deeply grasp the underlying principles, becoming a leader rather than a blind follower. While Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems, it strongly advocates for students to break free from it. It opposes students from doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and monotonous problems but requires them to complete necessary exercises. We encourage students to engage in flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the process of problem-solving. If there is any other success Huanggang High School has achieved, it is that while cultivating and nurturing a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged its teaching staff, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic skills, and abundant teaching achievements. To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of four series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School 2007 College Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Materials." The "Huanggang High School 2007 College Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Materials" series adopts a "full simulation" format to highlight its features. Whether in terms of the quantity and difficulty of open-ended or conventional problem types, it strives to closely resemble the college entrance exams, emphasizing innovation and practicality. Targeting the different time periods and characteristics of the first, second, and third rounds of college entrance exam preparation, we have positioned the first-round training materials as unit exercises, the second-round training materials as thematic exercises, and the third-round training materials as simulated exams, comprehensively and progressively addressing the problems students encounter during the third round of preparation from three perspectives and levels. Part of the content of this series is derived from internal teaching materials and exchanges with friendly schools, while the other part is newly supplemented based on recent changes in college entrance exam questions, now compiled and published for the first time. This series also reflects the following writing philosophy and features: 1. Appropriate exercise positioning: In terms of exercise arrangement, this series focuses on the reinforcement and gradual improvement of exam-relevant knowledge points, question types, and methods, with the complexity and difficulty of the questions progressively approaching the college entrance exams. 2. Detailed solution hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more thorough explanations provided for difficult problems. The well-placed hints in the series often play a pivotal role. This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the authors' questions, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage, striving to become a unique gem in the educational supplement market.
