Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, virtue-based education," forming the distinctive character of "comprehensive development + special talents" and exploring a teaching style of "seeking truth, refinement, novelty, and innovation." Its outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is the inevitable result of its long-term implementation of quality education, and only one aspect of its abundant teaching achievements.
When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What power does it have to turn sand into a tower? What ability does it have to turn stone into gold? These are questions I often hear. If one thinks Huanggang High School merely follows the of college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking, that is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully understand the intentions of test-setters, grasp the underlying principles, and become a leader rather than a blind follower.
Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems but strongly advocates that students break free from it. It opposes students doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to tackle flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the problem-solving process.
If there is any other success Huanggang High School has achieved, it is that while cultivating and nurturing a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged a strong team of teachers, including renowned educators celebrated in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and remarkable teaching achievements.
To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School teachers and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of four series of books by frontline core teachers: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," "Huanggang High School Junior High School Entrance Exam Comprehensive Review," and "Huanggang High School 2007 Senior High School Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Materials." The "Huanggang High School 2007 Senior High School Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Materials" series adopts a "full simulation" format to highlight its features. Whether in open-ended or conventional problem types, the quantity and difficulty of the questions are designed to closely align with the college entrance exams, practicality, innovation, and utility.
Targeting the different time periods and characteristics of the first, second, and third rounds of the college entrance exams, we have positioned the first-round training materials as unit exercises, the second-round materials as mock exam papers, and the third-round materials as final sprint test papers. This allows for a comprehensive, progressive solution to the problems students encounter during the three-round review process.
Part of the content of these books comes from Huanggang High School's internal use and exchanges with friendly schools, while the other part consists of newly supplemented materials based on recent changes in college entrance exam questions. These books are now compiled and published for the first time, making their debut publicly.
This series also embodies the following writing philosophy and features:
1. Appropriate exercise positioning: In terms of exercise arrangement, this series focuses on reinforcing and improving the knowledge points, question types, and methods relevant to the curriculum. The complexity and difficulty of the questions gradually progress toward the college entrance exams in a step-by-step manner.
2. Detailed solution hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more in-depth explanations provided for difficult problems. The well-placed hints in the series often serve as the finishing touch.
This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the authors' questions, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage, striving to become a unique gem in the educational supplement market.
