Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the Education System of China" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in the Construction of Spiritual Civilization in China." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "putting people first and establishing the school with virtue," forming the distinctive educational feature of "comprehensive development + special talents" and exploring a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, refinement, diversity, and innovation." The outstanding achievements in college entrance exams and competitions are the inevitable results of its long-term implementation of quality education and merely one aspect of its abundant teaching accomplishments. When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What power does it have to turn sand into a tower? What ability does it have to turn stone into gold? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the (command) of the college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully grasp the intentions of the test-setters and deeply understand the underlying principles, becoming a leader rather than a blind follower. While Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems, it strongly advocates for students to break free from this sea. It opposes students from doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious problems but requires them to complete necessary exercises. We encourage students to engage in flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop their abilities, and enhance their qualities through the process of problem-solving. If Huanggang High School has any other successes, it is that while cultivating and nurturing a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged its teaching staff, creating renowned teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic skills, and abundant teaching achievements. To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School's teachers and share their teaching accomplishments, we have organized the core teaching staff from the school to meticulously plan and compile three series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School Middle School Entrance Exam Comprehensive Review." The series "Huanggang High School 2007 College Entrance Exam First and Second Round Training Questions" adopts a "full simulation" format to highlight its features. Whether in open-ended or conventional problem types, the quantity and difficulty of the questions are designed to closely resemble the college entrance exams, emphasizing innovation and practicality. Targeting the different time periods and characteristics of the first, second, and third rounds of the college entrance exams, we have positioned the first-round training questions as unit exercises, the second-round training questions as thematic exercises, and the third-round training questions as simulated tests, providing a comprehensive and progressive solution to the problems students encounter during the three-round review process. Part of the content of this series is derived from internal teaching materials and exchanges with friendly schools, while the other part consists of newly supplemented materials based on recent changes in college entrance exam questions, now compiled and published for the first time. This series also reflects the following writing philosophy and features: 1. Appropriate exercise positioning: In terms of exercise arrangement, this series focuses on reinforcing and improving the knowledge points, question types, and methods associated with the exam content, gradually approaching the level of the college entrance exams in terms of complexity and comprehensiveness. 2. Detailed solution hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more in-depth solutions provided for difficult questions. The well-placed hints in the series often play a pivotal role. This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the authors' questions, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage, striving to become a unique gem in the educational supplement market.
