Features: Huanggang High School, founded in 1904 in Huanggang, Hubei Province, was designated as a key high school in Hubei Province in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in the National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-oriented, virtue-based education," forming a distinctive approach to nurturing students that emphasizes "comprehensive development + special talents." It has explored a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, striving for excellence, embracing diversity, and pursuing innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is a natural outcome of its long-term implementation of quality education, and only a reflection of its abundant teaching achievements.
When it comes to nurturing students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What is its ability to turn sand into a tower? What is its skill in transforming ordinary into extraordinary? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the (guiding rod) of the college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully grasp the intent of test-setters and deeply understand the underlying principles, making it a leader rather than a blind follower.
Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems but strongly advocates that students break free from it. It opposes students from doing mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious exercises but requires them to complete necessary ones. We encourage students to tackle flexible and diverse problems with broad applications, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the process of problem-solving.
If there is anything else that Huanggang High School has achieved success in, it is that while cultivating and shaping a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged its teaching staff, creating renowned master teachers in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and remarkable teaching achievements.
To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School's teaching staff and share their teaching results, we have organized and meticulously planned the writing of three series of books: "Huanggang High School Homework Books," "Huanggang High School Exam Papers," and "Huanggang High School 2006 College Entrance Exam Second and Third Round Training Materials." These books are characterized by the following:
1. Appropriate Exercise Placement: In terms of exercise arrangement, this series focuses on reinforcing and progressively improving the knowledge points, question types, and methods associated with each topic. The complexity and difficulty of the exercises are designed to gradually align with the college entrance exams.
2. Detailed Solution Hints: The answers at the back of the book are appropriately detailed, with more thorough solutions provided for difficult problems. It is worth mentioning that the insightful hints included are sometimes like the finishing touch to a masterpiece.
This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the authors' exercises, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage, striving to become a unique gem in the educational supplement market.
