Features: Founded in 1904, Huanggang High School in Hubei Province was designated as a key high school in Hubei in 1953 and was awarded the title of "Advanced Unit in the National Education System" in 1986. In 2002, it was recognized as an "Advanced Unit in National Spiritual Civilization Construction." Huanggang High School upholds the educational philosophy of "people-centered, virtue-based education" and has developed a distinctive approach to nurturing students that combines "comprehensive development and specialized skills." It has pioneered a teaching style characterized by "seeking truth, striving for excellence, embracing diversity, and fostering innovation." The outstanding performance in college entrance exams and competitions is a natural outcome of its long-term implementation of quality education, and only a glimpse of its abundant teaching achievements.
When it comes to cultivating students, what magic formula does Huanggang High School possess? What power does it have to turn sand into a tower? What ability does it have to transform ordinary into extraordinary? These are questions I often hear. To think that Huanggang High School merely follows the of college entrance exams and passively engages in test-taking is incorrect. Huanggang High School does not advocate rote memorization or passive problem-solving. If it has any exceptional qualities, it lies in its ability to fully grasp the intentions of examiners and deeply understand the underlying principles, positioning itself as a leader rather than a blind follower.
While Huanggang High School does not oppose teachers immersing themselves in a sea of problems, it strongly encourages students to break free from it. It rejects mechanical, simple, repetitive, and tedious tasks for students but insists on assigning essential ones. We advocate for students to tackle flexible, diverse, and widely applicable problems, allowing them to enrich their knowledge, develop skills, and enhance their qualities through the process of solving them.
If there is any other success Huanggang High School has achieved, it is that while nurturing and shaping a large number of outstanding students, it has also forged an exceptional teaching team, including renowned educators celebrated in Hubei Province. These teachers possess profound scientific and cultural literacy, innovative educational concepts, unique teaching styles, artistic flair, and remarkable teaching achievements.
To showcase the talents of Huanggang High School's teaching staff and share their teaching results, we have organized and carefully planned the writing of three series of books: Huanggang High School Homework Books, Huanggang High School Exam Papers, and Huanggang High School 2006 College Entrance Exam Training Materials (Rounds 1 and 2).
The Huanggang High School Homework Books series is based on the Teaching Syllabus and Exam Syllabus, highlighting the role of "homework" in helping students develop learning abilities, problem-solving skills, and exam-taking abilities. It reflects the inevitable connection between Huanggang High School students' exceptional performance in various exams and their rigorous daily practice.
This series features a carefully designed structure with four main sections: Pre-Class Warm-up, In-Class Assignments, After-Class Assignments, and Mid/High School Exam Online, all aimed at reinforcing skills and improving abilities. It also has the following features:
1. Appropriate Exercise Placement: The exercises are carefully arranged to reinforce key points, question types, and methods, gradually improving students' problem-solving skills. The series is positioned to help students reach a new level of competence through progressive, ability-based, open-ended, applied, and comprehensive exercises.
2. Moderate Difficulty Gradient: The ratio of basic, intermediate, and advanced questions in this series is 6:3:1, making it suitable for the use of most middle schools. Most questions are labeled with difficulty levels (A, B, or C) for clarity and appropriateness.
3. Detailed Solution Hints: The answers at the back of the book are well-balanced, with detailed solutions provided for challenging questions. It is worth mentioning that the insightful hints often play a pivotal role in guiding students.
This series emphasizes the originality and quality of the exercises, with rigorous review and proofreading at every stage, striving to become a standout in the educational supplement market.
