Is it considered cured if acute gonorrhea does not recur after treatment?

Patient's question:

I went to get an IV infusion the day after the symptoms appeared. There was yellow pus flowing from the urethral opening. It hurts when I urinate.

Doctor's answer:

The incidence of gonorrhea is very high, but the cure rate is also very high.
For those with no adverse reactions to penicillin skin testing:
(1) Procaine penicillin G solution: 4.8 million units administered as intramuscular injections to both buttocks. Simultaneously, 1g of probenecid is taken orally.
(2) Benzathine penicillin G (also known as long-acting penicillin): 4.8 million units administered as intramuscular injections to both buttocks. Simultaneously, 1g of probenecid is taken orally.
(3) Penicillin G solution: 1.6 million units administered intramuscularly three times daily for three days.
Any of the above treatment plans can be chosen based on specific circumstances. When administering these medications, penicillin skin testing must be performed. If the patient is allergic to penicillin, the following treatment plans can be used:
(1) Tetracycline: Initial dose of 1g, followed by 0.5g, taken four times daily for seven days. Suitable for penicillin-allergic patients.
(2) Erythromycin: Initial dose of 1g, followed by 0.5g, taken four times daily for seven days. Suitable for penicillin-allergic patients.
(3) Ciprofloxacin: 800mg taken orally once daily.
(4) Spectinomycin (Gonadotropin): 2g administered intramuscularly. Suitable for penicillin-resistant strains.
(5) Ceftriaxone (Rocephin): 0.25g administered intramuscularly. Suitable for penicillin-resistant strains.
(6) Ofloxacin (Tarivid): 200mg taken three times daily for three days.
(7) Azithromycin: 1000mg taken orally once daily.
