Publication Date: Not available
Features: To meet the diverse needs of readers, we began another round of revisions in 1996. This revision added and removed some words, modified certain definitions, further implemented the language and character regulations issued by relevant national authorities in terms of character forms, pronunciations, traditional characters, and variant characters. All multi-character entries were provided with phonetic annotations, most words were labeled with parts of speech, and additional notes were added for the writing, reading, and usage of some words. We also introduced a "Vocabulary" section. These changes are all efforts made to enhance the normative and practical value of the dictionary. This book is a small-scale dictionary primarily focused on, mainly intended for readers with junior high school-level education, especially primary school teachers and students, for language learning and teaching. Over the past twenty years of publication, it has received the care and attention of a broad readership, and many people have enthusiastically proposed revision suggestions.
