Features: As a representative work of Confucian thought, the Analects holds a very important position in Chinese classics. Therefore, we have adopted the full text of the Analects. This book includes three main parts: the original text (with pinyin annotations), annotations, and translations, to facilitate reading, comprehension, and memorization for children. The original text of the Analects consists of 20 chapters and over 11,000 characters. The Analects General Translation, translated and annotated by Professor Xu Zhigang of Jinan University, was listed as a recommended book in the Ministry of Education's Middle School Chinese Teaching Syllabus in January 1997. In May 2003, it was also designated as a required book in the Ministry of Education's General High School Chinese Curriculum Standards, with a total print run of 510,000 copies.
