Features: This series of textbooks was written by primary, secondary, and university teachers engaged in mathematical competition training in Jiangsu Province and Jintan City, including doctoral supervisors, professors, distinguished teachers, principals, education researchers, and Huabei Competition coaches. It provides systematic and comprehensive training for various mathematical competitions, helping students improve their mathematical abilities from an early age. The series is highly targeted and practical, especially suitable for the Huabei Competition. It can be used for classroom teaching in mathematical interest schools and various Olympic schools. Each volume is designed for one grade level. Each volume is divided into two parts (upper and lower semesters), with approximately 15 lessons per part. Each lesson includes at least 6 problems, suitable for 100-minute teaching sessions. The content progresses from simple to complex, gradually adapting to students' age characteristics and knowledge structure. Each lesson is accompanied by a certain number of exercises, all with detailed solutions, available for teachers and parents who can provide tutoring.
Volumes 1 and 2 are intended for lower primary grades, aiming to cultivate students' interest and intuition in mathematics. They are rich in illustrations, transitioning naturally from visual elements to mathematical language and textual descriptions. Volumes 3, 4, and 5 focus on building a solid foundation and broadening horizons, gradually aligning with the requirements of the Huabei Competition. Volumes 6 and 7 are fully targeted at mathematical competitions, equivalent to the sprint phase of a 100-meter race. They include more challenging problems and provide several sets of comprehensive exercises for intensive training before the competition, designed for coaches preparing contestants.
Volumes 8, 9, and 10 are aligned with the current junior high school mathematics curriculum, targeting both junior high school mathematics Olympic competitions and selective high school entrance exams in various provinces and cities. Volumes 11, 12, and 13 correspond to the current senior high school mathematics curriculum, targeting both senior high school mathematics Olympic competitions and the national college entrance examination (Gaokao). The difficulty level is balanced, combining competition preparation with Gaokao readiness, making the series highly practical.
Additionally, each volume is interconnected yet self-contained, with slight overlaps in content, forming a spiral teaching approach that is highly beneficial for students' learning.
