Features: This book is revised and published based on the 1999 edition, following the research and formulation of the "Basic Requirements for Physics Experiment Teaching in Non-Physics Majors of Higher Education Institutions" (Draft) by the Research Group of the Physics Experiment Basic Requirements Committee of the National Education Ministry's Higher Education Non-Physics Majors Physics Foundation Course Teaching Guidance Sub-Committee in 2004. The teaching content system of this edition has undergone significant adjustments compared to the previous version. 1. The evaluation of measurements adopts "standard uncertainty," and briefly introduces measurement statistics standards and their applications in approval and argumentation, guiding students to quickly adapt to modern technical norms. 2. Following the learning patterns of students, the experimental content system has been comprehensively adjusted, and relevant experimental projects have been added: the content is divided into three parts—preparatory experiments, basic experiments, and elective experiments. The basic experiments include elective experiment content, while certain parts of elective experiments are designed with student-designed experimental content and organized research-type experiments centered around fundamental physics topics. 3. The selection and design of each experimental content emphasize both breadth and depth. The experimental content system highlights the experimental process and method design, emphasizing fundamental, comprehensive, design-oriented, and research-oriented approaches, as well as tiered teaching. Additionally, teaching content on troubleshooting skills has been included. 4. Research achievements have been incorporated into the experimental content system. For example, instruments such as the dual-frequency phase modulator and the television microscopic imaging computer testing system have been developed, new experimental projects such as dual vibration synthesis experiments, phase and phase difference experiments, and polarization state research experiments have been introduced, and some harmless destructive experimental contents have been designed. Additionally, a large number of elective experimental projects have been created.
