Features: The "Synchronous Unit Practice" series published by Beijing Normal University Press has undergone 10 years of refinement and has become a premium teaching aid. Accompanying countless students, it has guided them through 12 years of basic education and into the halls of higher education. Today, in 2005, as the new curriculum reform in basic education is fully underway, Beijing Normal University Press has once again reviewed and adapted this "Synchronous Unit Practice" series. The updated "Synchronous Unit Practice" keeps pace with the trends of curriculum reform, updates educational concepts, helps students learn how to learn, systematically master the knowledge systems of various subjects, and enhances their ability to explore and innovate. At the same time, it is based on the new "Teaching Syllabus for Full-Time Senior High Schools" issued by the Ministry of Education in 2002, as well as textbooks in subjects such as politics, Chinese, mathematics, English, physics, chemistry, history, geography, and biology, which have been reviewed and approved by the National Textbook Review Committee for use by senior high school students and teachers across the country. This series is compiled by curriculum developers and frontline teaching experts from experimental areas, based on practical experience and discussions. The purpose of the compilation is to strive to better reflect the overall goal of focusing on all students, emphasizing the foundation, popularization, and development, and to provide students with realistic, interesting, challenging, and illustrated learning materials, as well as time and space for hands-on activities, exploration, research, and communication. To meet the needs of different students' development, this series pays attention to students' choices and individual development, integrates important scientific thinking methods, fully demonstrates the formation and application of subject knowledge, and continuously enhances students' interest in learning, self-confidence, sense of responsibility, pragmatic attitude, scientific spirit, and innovative awareness.
