Features: Developing a socialist market economy, expanding foreign economic exchanges, and enhancing comprehensive national strength are fundamental policies of our country. With the continuous deepening of China's economic reforms and the approaching date of joining the WTO, the demand for foreign economic and trade talents across various industries in China has become increasingly urgent. To cultivate a large number of skilled professionals proficient in international trade theory and practice, we have organized foreign trade schools and experts in theoretical research to compile this book. International Exchange is a core course for foreign economic and trade vocational colleges, covering issues such as currency exchange between countries, fluctuations in foreign exchange rates, and foreign exchange management. To enhance practicality and operability, the book is structured primarily based on practical applications, with content arranged to facilitate understanding and operation. For example, in the chapter, we trace the evolution of international exchange by examining the origins, development, and evolution of banking, enabling students to systematically grasp the development of banks and the evolution of international exchange. In the foreign exchange trading chapter, we highlight the integration of foreign exchange operations with foreign economic and trade activities, focusing on improving learners' practical operational skills and expertise. Additionally, considering that students in foreign economic and trade vocational colleges do not take courses such as Monetary Credit and Banking, this book includes a dedicated chapter titled "Banking Monetary Theory and Monetary Policy," which provides a brief introduction to the fundamental theories of monetary credit, laying a foundation for further study and research on deeper exchange rate theories.
