Features: Vocabulary is the cornerstone of language learning. Traditionally, students' methods of memorizing words are not only monotonous but also highly inefficient. Many words are so difficult to remember that even when recalled, they remain confusing. In light of this, we want to introduce a new method of vocabulary learning. By linking seemingly unrelated words together with humorous and entertaining stories, we have developed a vocabulary learning approach. We first provide a story, followed by a vocabulary list, making it not only simple and convenient but also highly engaging. Theoretically, memorizing stories is easier than memorizing words because stories have a certain developmental thread, leading to richer associations. This is precisely the theoretical foundation for our series of story-based vocabulary learning materials. During the process of writing these stories, we discovered that originally dull words can become lively and endearing, and that mundane learning can also become dynamic and enjoyable. This reminded us of the story of Christopher Columbus: cracking an egg and standing it on a table. It turns out that there are no insurmountable challenges in the world—only whether we can find the key to overcome them. Story-based vocabulary learning is the key prepared for everyone to conquer the difficulties of vocabulary.
