Publish Date: 2003-05-01
Features: This series is an excellent work on mathematical education research. It includes five sub-series: "Research and Exploration on Teaching Basic Mathematical Knowledge and Skills," "Problem Inquiry in Mathematics," "Research on New Mathematical Question Types," "Experimental Research on the Development and Evaluation of Multiple Intelligences in 'Rumai Yueyi'," and "Analysis and Critique of Mathematical Education Research and Writing." This volume is the "Research and Exploration on Teaching Basic Mathematical Knowledge and Skills." The authors have chosen a unique research perspective to elaborate on it and proposed some innovative educational concepts. This book is suitable for reference and study by mathematical educators. While the themes and conclusions of this series can certainly be used for home reference, we are more inclined to recommend the research methods employed by the authors. In recent years, there have been improvements in the methodology of mathematical education research in China. However, there is still significant room for enhancement in terms of topic selection, the approaches and perspectives for exploring evidence, and the appropriateness of drawing conclusions. Looking at international mathematical education research in recent years, the methodology is undergoing changes, placing greater emphasis on the integrated perfection of qualitative and quantitative analysis.
