Features: This book is a national-level planning teaching material for general higher education under the "Tenth Five-Year Plan," compiled based on the teaching reform experience of experimental courses and in accordance with the "Basic Requirements for University Physics Laboratory Teaching (Discussion Draft)" formulated by the Ministry of Education in 2004. The book is divided into five chapters. The first chapter, "Introduction," introduces the teaching objectives, teaching arrangements, and principles and matters to be noted in physical measurements, as well as the classification and application of basic physical experimental methods in measurements. The second chapter covers the evaluation and expression of measurement uncertainties. Chapters 3, 4, and 5 follow the "three-stage" teaching system of the course, including 58 experiments that are categorized as fundamental, advanced, and research-oriented. The fifth chapter also elaborates on the writing requirements for "course papers." This book has the following characteristics: First, it is closely aligned with classroom teaching and serves students' learning, matching the teaching system of the physics laboratory course. Second, it strives to integrate knowledge transfer with ability development, as well as scientific education with humanities education. Third, it promotes the combination of teaching and research by preliminarily introducing the integration of teachers' research achievements into experimental teaching. This book can be used as a textbook for undergraduate students of non-physics-related science and engineering majors in higher education institutions, as well as a reference for relevant technical personnel and other professionals.
