Features: Since its publication and release in 2001, the book "Towards Famous Schools—Comprehensive Review of Primary School Mathematics" has been widely favored by students and parents for its systematic and comprehensive knowledge delivery, innovative and unique teaching methods, and precise and targeted exercise training. Many teachers have also chosen this book as a supplementary teaching material for advanced studies. After using this book, students' math scores have shown significant improvement, and their mathematical literacy has been greatly enhanced. As a result, many students have entered renowned junior high schools. Over the years, the book has been continuously republished to meet the readers' demands. With the deepening of educational reform and the implementation of new curricula, the goal of learning has evolved from flat knowledge acquisition to a three-dimensional space: knowledge and skills, processes and methods, and attitudes and values. Against this backdrop, competition for comprehensive qualities among students has intensified, and the pressure of college entrance exams and school selection has become an undeniable fact. To assist primary school graduates in comprehensive review, in response to the urgent needs of teachers, parents, and students, we have thoroughly revised the book "Towards Famous Schools—Comprehensive Review of Primary School Mathematics" based on years of research and exploration in bridging the gap between primary and secondary education. The purpose is to adapt to the new educational landscape, stimulate students' interest in learning, help them build a solid foundation, cultivate their learning abilities, promote their intellectual development, comprehensively improve their qualities and competitiveness, and prepare them with the necessary knowledge reserves and intellectual training to enter their ideal renowned junior high schools. The book has been revised in accordance with the principles of "practical, concise, flexible, innovative, and skillful," and is now divided into six major sections: Number and Algebra, Agile Calculation, Space and Geometry, Comprehensive Application, Wisdom and Practice, and Mock Exams. The first five sections also include the following sub-sections:
Key Knowledge Points: Organizes and categorizes the mathematics knowledge and methods of the primary-to-secondary transition stage into coherent and systematic blocks, constructing a knowledge framework structure for easy memorization and application.
Detailed Analysis of Examples: Focuses on key points and critical aspects, providing typical examples to reveal problem-solving approaches, methods, and patterns, forming a knowledge network.
Method Highlights: Guides students to explore and discover the intrinsic laws between mathematical methods and knowledge, broadening their thinking, deepening their understanding, and cultivating their abilities in observation and analysis, imagination and reasoning, induction, and innovation, benefiting them lifelong.
Targeted Practice: Features representative, novel, typical, practical, and open-ended question types. Expands students' horizons, stimulates their thinking, enhances their ability to integrate knowledge, and improves their problem-solving skills, thereby cultivating and improving their comprehensive qualities.
Compared to the original book, the revised version features the following:
1. Adjusted and updated the knowledge system to make the content more organized and aligned with students' cognitive patterns.
2. Emphasizes guidance in methods and processes to cultivate students' independent learning and practical abilities.
3. Fully incorporates the new concepts and standards of curriculum reform, with a particular focus on developing students' practical skills. The newly added Wisdom and Practice section not only cultivates students' thinking and intellectual abilities but also emphasizes improving their hands-on operational skills. This not only makes the book's content more comprehensive and professional but also positions it as an effective tool for teachers and students to seize the advantage in mathematical learning and exam preparation.
