Features: This book is one of the supplementary materials for the "English (New Target)" textbook for the experimental edition of the "Curriculum Standards for Compulsory Education" published by the People's Education Press. This series of textbooks is based on the newly published "goforit!" by Thomson Learning Publishing Group (USA) and has been adapted through a collaboration between the People's Education Press and Thomson Learning Publishing Group. It adopts the task-based language teaching (task-based language teaching) model, integrating topics, communicative functions, and language structures to form a step-by-step, life-oriented learning program. During the revision process, the editors made appropriate adjustments to the structure and content of the original book based on the "English Curriculum Standards" (Experimental Draft) issued by the Ministry of Education. They added review units, cultural background knowledge, and learning strategies, as well as increased task-based learning components and complete textual input. This book is designed to complement the evaluation manual of the corresponding series of textbooks, focusing on reading and writing exercises. The exercises in the book aim to achieve the learning objectives of each unit in the student book, with a variety of exercise formats. Especially, the writing topics in each unit are mostly directly related to students' daily lives. Students can use the vocabulary, grammar, and existing language knowledge learned in the unit to describe their actual lives and express their real feelings. This enables students to flexibly use language to complete various practical tasks while mastering language knowledge, gradually developing their comprehensive language proficiency. The book consists of 18 units, including 3 review units, for use throughout the entire ninth-grade school year.
