Features: This textbook is based on the new edition of the surgical textbook widely used in Europe and America, and is compiled according to the surgical teaching syllabus, combined with the authors' many years of teaching experience. In terms of arrangement, it largely maintains consistency with the Chinese edition of Surgery, allowing students to read professional foreign language knowledge simultaneously during the learning process. The compiled content focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, with the main purpose of helping students learn standardized professional English in surgery while also understanding the diagnostic and treatment methods for related diseases abroad. It should be noted that to better help students understand the expression methods in the original English version, we have particularly retained the original units of measurement, diagnostic procedures, drug names, and dosages from the original work. The standard values used in the original work differ from those used by Chinese people, and we hope students still refer to the corresponding Chinese edition of the textbook during the learning process. The textbook retains the imperial units used in the original work (such as feet, inches, pounds, molar concentration, etc.), and students need to make corresponding conversions during the learning process. The diagnostic and treatment procedures described in the original work are not entirely the same as those currently adopted in clinical practice in China. The relevant content in this textbook is for reference only. The names and dosages of drugs used in the diagnosis and treatment of surgical diseases are also inconsistent between China and abroad, and students still need to follow China's current medication principles.
