Features: This series of books is compiled in accordance with the spirit of quality education for primary and secondary school students as instructed by the Ministry of Education of China, based on the new teaching and textbooks. 6. Read expository texts and identify key points, understanding the basic methods of explanation.
7. Read narrative works and summarize the main events, briefly describing the most memorable scenes, characters, and details, as well as expressing personal likes, dislikes, admiration, aspirations, and empathy. Read poems to grasp the general meaning, imagine the scenarios described, and appreciate the poet's emotions, being inspired and motivated by excellent works to pursue beautiful ideals.
8. Learn to skim to broaden knowledge and gather information as needed.
9. In understanding texts, recognize the different uses of commas, semicolons, and periods.
10. Recite excellent poems and articles, paying attention to the content and emotions of the works through their tones and rhythms. Memorize 60 (segments of) excellent poems and articles.
11. Use libraries, the internet, and other information channels to try exploratory reading. Expand reading horizons, with a total of no less than 1 million words of extracurricular reading.
This series emphasizes the understanding and mastery of basic concepts and principles; focuses on training in basic knowledge and skills, centering on key and difficult points, comprehensively applying foundational knowledge, cultivating students' analytical and thinking abilities, and striving to comprehensively improve students' reading abilities.
