Features: To help a wide range of candidates better study the authoritative teaching materials for PETS published by foreign language publishers—the National English Proficiency Test Textbook, a supplementary learning guide has been written by English experts from the "National English Proficiency Test Textbook Writing Group." The writing principle of this book is to explain the knowledge of key and difficult points of the text in a step-by-step manner, providing answers and clarifications. Every two chapters include one set of synchronous exercises, complementing the theoretical learning. The former can effectively help candidates understand the textbook and learn the knowledge, while the latter makes theoretical knowledge three-dimensional and practical, enabling candidates not only to master the theory but also to apply it flexibly. In terms of learning methods, the book is arranged in the normal order of candidates studying the textbook, starting with a general introduction and then expanding in detail. Each learning segment of every lesson in the textbook has been carefully designed, not only to achieve the purpose of supplementary learning but also to more effectively improve the pass rate of the exam. We recommend:
(1) Learning a language, the most important thing is not the tools you master or your learning foundation, but your learning methods and perseverance. First, you need to persist and set a learning goal, establishing a standard for yourself based on your English proficiency. If you are self-studying, you also need to formulate a plan and then follow it to implement it. For more questions about learning methods or your experiences and insights, we welcome you to communicate with us via letter or phone.
(2) Before studying each lesson, first read the knowledge map of the lesson and warm up according to the key points provided.
(3) When learning the Text or Dialogue, do not rush to look at the translation. Instead, cultivate your ability to read independently. When encountering difficult vocabulary, you can first guess the meaning based on the context and then compare it with the vocabulary explanation part. This way, your memory of vocabulary will be more profound.
(4) After independently completing the post-lesson exercises in the textbook, please check the answers and identify where your mistakes lie. By doing so, after finishing a book, you can discover your weak areas and strengthen your training with targeted practice. Finally, we need to remind all candidates that there is no real shortcut in the world. To gain knowledge, one must have perseverance. Especially when learning a language, candidates need to have a certain level of determination.
