Features: The Six Dynasties tomb sculptures are scattered in the suburbs of Nanjing and nearby Jiangning, Jurong, and Danyang counties, with a total of 32 sites, including 11 imperial tombs. Most of the Six Dynasties tombs face south with the north, and the sculptures are located about one kilometer away from the tombs. Among the royal and noble tombs, the most well-preserved sculptures are those at the tomb of Prince Ancheng Xiao Xi in Ganjia Lane, which include a stele, a stone pillar, and six stone bixie. The Six Dynasties tomb sculptures are large in form, vivid in modeling, and excel in carving art. They inherit the style of the Han Dynasty while opening the way for the Sui and Tang dynasties. However, they differ from the simplicity of Han Dynasty sculptures, appearing exquisite, delicate, dynamic, and majestic, fully reflecting the outstanding artistic craftsmanship of Chinese folk stone carvers.
