Publisher:
Publish Date: 2006-08-01
Features: This book collects essays on authors, works, magazines, and publishers related to the late Qing Dynasty. People generally do not imagine that there could be valuable literature and reference materials in Japan related to late Qing fiction, but I was fortunate to discover several precious documents in Japan. The discovery of these precious documents will be crucial in resolving long-standing unresolved issues. The book includes several essays that have been published in Chinese. It also features essays translated by the author from Japanese to Chinese, as well as those originally written in Chinese and published in China, South Korea, Japan, and other regions. Additionally, it includes essays translated into Chinese by others, accounting for about 30% of the total essays. At the end of each essay, the names of the translators and the magazines in which they were published are noted as a token of gratitude. A few essays are newly written in Chinese based on previously published works. After reviewing all the essays, the author also made minor revisions or supplemented additional materials.
