Features: Firewing and Icefin are the legendary "Rex Hirsutis" youth, meaning those who can "communicate" with the "other world." This pair of extremely similar-looking siblings grew up together in the ancient city of Xiangchuan. Long-forgotten legends, spirits, and secret rituals naturally blend into their daily lives.
My name means "Dawn Vessel." Dawn is the between darkness and light, and the ferry is the medium that traverses it. So from childhood, I have always dreamed of what kind of world lies beyond ours. The concept of Rex Hirsutis originated from childhood memories. I grew up in an old house in a corner of Yangzhou City, surrounded by the dark shadows that had lingered in the buildings and courtyards for centuries. Any child would develop wonderful fantasies, gradually blurring the line between imagination and reality. People who grow up alongside increasingly modern cities might gradually forget such fantasies, but in my hometown, the old city has been well-preserved. It was like this centuries ago, and largely remains so today. So whenever I walk through the streets of white-walled, blue-tiled alleys, those wonderful memories flicker vividly in my heart.
Rex Hirsutis is not just about recording memories—it records more about the effort to explore how one has long coexisted with oneself, and it traces the path of the heart's growth. If you are willing to join me, let us set sail together on the of the Dawn Vessel.
