Features: This book introduces the entire process of developing applications using Visual Basic through practical software development project examples, delving into the detailed steps of application development layer by layer. With the aim of thoroughly analyzing software engineering principles, it sequentially presents the processes and methods of developing various popular management systems on the market using VB, including transportation industry management systems, vehicle rental management systems, student information management systems, hotel reservation management systems, home financial assistant systems, and warehouse management systems. The book features an innovative organizational structure, well-arranged content, and selected examples with comprehensive functionality and higher difficulty, closely resembling actual development projects. Notably, the final example in the book is arranged based on actual software engineering project requirements and development processes, providing readers with an opportunity to get close to real project development. The accompanying CD-ROM offers significant content breakthroughs, including multiple multimedia instructional files that cover the process of creating databases using popular database management software such as MySQL, SQL Server, and Oracle; the configuration of development environments for current popular programming languages like ASP, ASP.NET, JSP, C#, and VB, as well as detailed steps on how to connect these languages to databases; and the usage methods of development tools for certain programming languages, such as JBuilder, Eclipse, and Microsoft Visual Studio.NET. This book is suitable for technical personnel using VB to develop applications, as well as readers with basic VB knowledge who wish to learn and improve their skills. It can also serve as an excellent introductory textbook.
