Features: "I" falls in love with Mr. Davenport, who is listless after the death of his wife. But after moving into the famous Manderley estate with him, "I" discovers that he is constantly overshadowed by the deceased wife, Rebecca. By chance, "I" discovers the true cause of Rebecca's death, and thus faces a choice between love and law. Soon after, a mysterious fire reduces Manderley to ashes.
