Features: Following the publication of the "Introduction to Wind Instrument Playing Series" and the "Wind Instrument Examination Repertoire Series," another series titled "Wind Instrument Miniature Collection" has now been released. This seems to bring a refreshing breeze of popularizing wind instruments to the Chinese wind instrument community. As is well-known, the development of Western wind instruments in China started relatively late, and thus, the lack of relevant teaching materials has always been one of the bottlenecks restricting the popularization and development of wind instruments. Today, the "Wind Instrument Miniature Collection" series, organized by the Wind Instrument Professional Committee of the Shanghai Music and edited by Shanghai Music Publishing, not only enriches and supplements the repertoire for various wind instruments but also brings a rich spiritual feast to wind instrument enthusiasts. This is undoubtedly beneficial for promoting the development of the wind instrument cause. The "Wind Instrument Miniature Collection" includes representative wind instrument pieces from both China and abroad, striving to comprehensively introduce readers to various pieces from different periods and styles, allowing wind players of all levels to find suitable pieces for their playing. In summary, it is a versatile, practical, and engaging teaching material that caters to both general wind instrument enthusiasts and professionals for reference. The development of the wind instrument cause requires the joint efforts of experts from all walks of life. We look forward to more experts and scholars contributing their wisdom and ideas to the development of wind instruments, and laying bricks and tiles for the prosperity of wind instrument compositions. We eagerly anticipate the emergence of more and better wind instrument works.
