Carbon-Nitrogen Exchange in Terrestrial Ecosystems: From Experiments to Models

Author: Huang Yao
Publisher:
Publish Date: 2003-01-01
Features: This book is based on the research work of the author and his research team on the carbon-nitrogen exchange of the earth-atmosphere system in recent years, systematically introducing the achievements in experimental and model research. The book is divided into ten chapters: Chapter 1 introduces the significance and research framework of the study on carbon-nitrogen exchange in the earth-atmosphere system. Chapter 2 briefly introduces the research progress of domestic and international rice ecosystem CH4 emissions, agricultural ecosystem N2O emissions, earth-atmosphere system NOx exchange and CO2 exchange, and the research of terrestrial ecosystem carbon cycle models. Chapter 3 introduces the measurement techniques, methods, and experimental design for carbon-nitrogen exchange in the earth-atmosphere system. Chapters 4 to 7 respectively introduce the research achievements on rice CH4 emissions, agricultural N2O emissions, agricultural-atmosphere NOx exchange, agricultural soil organic carbon decomposition, and earth-atmosphere system CO2 exchange. Chapters 8, 9, and 10 respectively introduce the research achievements on agricultural soil organic carbon dynamic models, terrestrial ecosystem carbon flux models, and regional nitrogen cycle models. This book is available for researchers, teaching staff, and undergraduate and graduate students engaged in environmental science, atmospheric science, ecology, soil science, and global change research to read and reference.
