Features: With the reform and opening-up and the continuous improvement of people's living standards in China, the production of cut flowers has shown increasing vitality. More and more individuals and entities involved in the cultivation and operation of fresh cut flowers have emerged. However, fresh cut flower production is a commercial activity characterized by intensive production, aiming for high economic benefits. Therefore, it requires a high level of technical expertise. To achieve the goal of year-round production and supply, certain cultivation facilities are also necessary. For this reason, we have compiled the book "Cut Flower Facility Production Technology" with the aim of providing guidance for readers engaged in the cultivation of fresh cut flowers in facilities. The book is divided into 16 chapters. Chapters 1 to 5 introduce the basic facilities for cut flower production—the design of energy-saving solar plastic greenhouses, as well as the full-sun mist production facilities and technology for seedlings, tissue culture technology, soilless cultivation technology, and the storage and preservation technology of fresh cut flowers. Chapters 6 to 16 provide a detailed explanation of the morphological characteristics, common varieties, growth habits, ecological habits, propagation methods, cultivation management, pest and disease control, as well as harvesting, grading, and storage technologies of 11 commonly used fresh cut flowers domestically and internationally. For bulbous flowers, the grading and storage technology of bulbs are also introduced.
