Features: The "170 Exercises for Cello" compiled by the German (American) cellist C. Schroder has been used by many peers worldwide as a foundational teaching material. This textbook features concise selection, systematic arrangement of pieces, and comprehensive technical training content, including various positions for the fingers, different bowing techniques, particularly shifting between strings and dynamic exercises. The difficulty progression is well-structured, reflecting the principle of gradual learning. This textbook serves as a relatively comprehensive resource for cultivating various types of performers (including orchestral musicians, chamber music players, ensembles, and soloists). Through years of teaching practice, I believe this textbook is highly effective. The People's Music Publishing House once published a photocopied edition of this textbook in 1979. At the invitation of this publishing house, I have revised and updated this material, providing explanations for the training objectives and methods of each exercise. For my personal opinions ("a lone voice"), I sincerely welcome feedback from fellow professionals to further refine and improve the textbook in the future.
