Features: This book is a selection of outstanding works from the China Academy of Art, positioned as "standardized and excellent." Therefore, the selection process for the works is extremely rigorous, with multiple layers of review, and the collection period spanned over a year. When collecting model paintings, many works were incredibly impressive, but they were abandoned due to excessive publication. Our idea is to feature as many new and original works as possible to enhance the book's readability. The selected works include outstanding creations by faculty members, graduate and undergraduate students, alumni, and some students from the affiliated high school of the China Academy of Art. These works exhibit diverse styles and techniques, ranging from delicate to rough, introspective to expressive, meticulously crafted to bold and spontaneous. However, regardless of the style or technique, they all share a solid foundation in, and each artist genuinely expresses their perception of the world and their emotions through their own perspective and understanding. Perhaps some works are still imperfect, retaining a "student-like" quality, or even appearing somewhat naive—yet we can clearly see the traces of repeated revisions and smudges on the canvas. From an artistic perspective, "naivety" is also a form of beauty, even a state of artistic achievement. Naivety represents thoughtfulness and sincerity. With thoughtfulness and sincerity, depth and artistry are born. If techniques become too "effortless" or overly polished, they may develop a slickness, leading to blandness—because it lacks reflection, it simultaneously hinders artistic depth and substance. This book essentially reflects the teaching achievements and characteristics of the China Academy of Art in recent years.
